Before a design job can begin, you must schedule time to meet with the designer to discuss the parameters of your job. Please come prepared with information on the printer, the size of your job, colors, graphics you may need developed, etc... to this meeting. At this time, we can create a rough draft of your project to work with.
Your "design-ready" package should include the following:
Edited, ready-to-flow text
Edited, ready-to-flow text defined: This
text is final. All necessary changes have been
made; all parties have reviewed the material.
Any editing after this point is only spelling
errors and flow concerns.
Final Graphics
Final Graphics are photographs, maps, charts,
and any other graphic elements that you would
like included in your project. These you will
provide on disk, as hard copy (prints/photographs),
via email, or as slides. Trees can help you
find graphics for your project if needed.
Printer
Every printer has different specifications
that must be met to print your publication.
If you have not chosen a printer by the initial
meeting, Trees can help you find one. It is
recommended that you schedule the printing of
your project at least two weeks in advance,
as printers are busy people. Please bring contact
information to Trees with your "design
ready" package.
