Trees Foundation's Service Area
Created for the 2003 annual report, these maps shows the larger context of coastal temperate rainforest on the Pacific coast [left], and the region in which Trees Foundation supports conservation efforts [right].

LNG Storage Tank Rupture
Created for the Environmental Protection Information Center, this map
was part of a three-map series that uses publicly-available data from a
university to show localized effects of a Liquified Natural Gas tank
rupture at the proposed Eureka LNG storage facility in Humboldt Bay.

The Mateel Region
A 2005 adaptation of an early map [shown below], this map shows the
local region commonly called the "Mateel" region, after the names of
the Mattole and Eel rivers. This map has become popular with a variety
of conservation groups and local agencies. 2005 version includes an
updated roads layer and color coding indicated degree of legally
binding conservation protections (CA-GAP analysis), as well and local
ranches and private timber that have high conservation value.

Red Mountain to the Sinkyone
Created originally for Piercy Watersheds Association, this map has been
used to promote the conservation of land between the Proposed South
Fork Eel River Wilderness Areas and the Sinkyone Wilderness State Park.
See the above map for an example of how map projects change over time
and better and more updated data becomes available.

SF Eel River Proposed Wilderness
From a detailed version of the Red Mountain map. This map was created
for Lynn Ryan of Ancient Forest International for advocacy work on the
Proposed South Fork Wilderness Areas.
