Pacific Law Seeks Justice for Maxxam Victims
July 17, 2000
Established in 1998, Pacific Law and its non-profit counterpart, the Humboldt Legal Foundation, are dedicated to serving the legal interests of people who have been harmed by corporate greed, while at the same time training a new generation of social activist attorneys. In three current lawsuits, Pacific Law is representing the victims of the notorious multinational corporation Maxxam and its CEO and majority stockholder, Charles Hurwitz. In the past two decades, through an elaborate network of legal shells and junk bond-financed takeovers, Hurwitz has looted several successful American companies, in the process creating environmental and social havoc.
