Forest & River News
Forest & River News (formerly known as 'Branching Out') is our own quarterly newsletter, and we invite Partners and other activists to submit update articles on their activities. This publication features recent and upcoming activities, an events calendar, a spotlight article on one Partner organization, news on regional campaigns, informative articles on issues of common concern, and Trees Foundation news. Through Forest & River News, Partners are updated on each other's work, and the larger community is better informed about the individual and collective efforts of the California North Coast environmental movement.
Headwaters Update
For four years, Trees Foundation produced the Headwaters Forest Update, a newsletter that featured and updated the ongoing efforts of the many groups working to protect Headwaters Forest. Trees Foundation coordinated article submissions, contributed articles as needed, edited, designed, produced, and distributed the publication.
Headwaters Forest Stewardship Plan
Trees Foundation developed the Headwaters Forest Stewardship Plan (HFSP) for the Headwaters Forest Coalition in 1997-98. This major project enabled Trees to bring in experts in forestry, economics, watershed health and other areas to develop a visionary model for forest planning that focused upon long-term ecological and economic sustainability.
