Next year?s ?21st Annual Salmonid Restoration Federation Conference? will be held in San Luis Obispo. The dates scheduled are Wednesday, March 26th, 2003 through Saturday the 29th. During the first day we will offer a field tour, ?Agriculture and Salmonid Streams,? and two workshops, ?Survey and Assessment Techniques? and ?Urban Streams.? On the second day we will offer two field tours in the Santa Barbara area, ?Urban Streams? and ?The Southern Steelhead ESU (Evolutionarily Significant Unit),? as well as two workshops, ?Hydrology 101? and ?Agriculture and Salmonid Streams.? On Friday the Conference will kick off with a plenary session titled ?What is Recover?? In the afternoon, participants will be able to select from three concurrent sessions dealing with the ?Southern Steelhead ESU,? ?Wild Trout,? and ?Land Conservation.? On Saturday four concurrent sessions will follow morning announcements and will cover topics related to ?Exotic Species,? ?Monitoring and Assessment,? ?Nutrient Cycling,? and ?Education.?
As always we will have a reception and poster session. Our annual banquet on Friday evening will again have good food and drink, networking opportunities, restoration-relevant entertainment, and good music.
